Hruby is an unusual name. It’s my middle name and my maiden name. You can pronounce it Ruby. Or if you’re terribly brave you can whisper that hhh sound and say hhhruby. My parents always said that in Czechoslovakia it’s as common as Smith is in America. One day I’ll find out.
